Roger graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1982 and later completed a Masters degree and PhD at University College Cork with Denis O’Mullane  and MSc in Dental Public Health at the University of Manchester. Roger has been at the Dental Health Unit for ten years and  became Director of the Dental Health Unit in 2005 following the retirement of Professor Robin Davies. Current Research Interests are related to the detection and measurement of dental conditions such as, caries periodontal disease, fluorosis and tooth colour.
