Iain graduated from Newcastle in 1998, and completed a Masters degree from The University of British Columbia in 2000.  He then joined Prof's Mike Edgar and Susan Higham for his PhD studies that were completed in 2003.  Since that time he has worked at the University of Manchester, first in Prosthodontics and now in Restorative Dentistry.  Iain is currently involved in the implementation of new technologies in caries clinical trials, in particular those involving imaging.  Other research interests include the assessment of diagnostic performance in forensic sciences with an emphasis on bitemark analysis.
