Professor Anthony Blinkhorn has been the Academic Director of the Dental Health Unit since 1991. During that time he has been Dean and Clinical Director of the Dental School. He is currently Professor of Oral Health and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry. He is Editor of the Health Education Journal and was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Faculty of Public Health in 2002 for his work in Preventive Dentistry and Health Promotion. In 2005 he received an OBE for Services to Dentistry, particularly in relationship to his work with special needs children
